Actually, in my new Seasonic they do not include it in the modular plugs. I am
guessing they decided nobody is using that old video cards so why bother
including it. However, it occurred to me that I have bought three of these
in the last five years and I still have all the modular plugs that came with
those PS. My older Gold Seasonic had one that I could plug into my new one so
problem solved! Thanks for the reply. <w>

No, don't do that you risk damaging your video card, PS, or entire
system. You should have a 6+2 PIN PCIe power cable, see
https://seasonic.com/focus-plus-gold/#cables for examples from Seasonic
and use the exact cables that came with the PS. Don't take a cable from
another PS and use it - there are no standards for the layout so it may
work but be miswired (even different models from the same brand are
different).
