Jamie,
Thank you. That did the trick! Once again I get the new dialog box, and, yes it is still defaulted to OPEN, but I can click SAVE/OK and get the zipper to where I choose to store.
The Collective WINS again!

I will deal with new push to P2P of the ASUS Support site at a later date. I still fear P2P.
Thanks again,
Duncan

Try checking the applications tab in Firefox's options; ZIP files should be set
to ask or they will be opened immediately instead. I think there's a 'remember
this choice' when you see a prompt dialog normally, and Firefox would then
always open downloaded files with the application.

Nope, no right click menu. Sux2Bme?

I did manage to get the files I sought via IE8 w/o grief. I may need to go and
doctor FireFox again. Still confused.

Still on v9 here though they keep bugging me to upgrade ( not free, but was
supposed to be way back when)

7Zip, v9.18beta:
How does one STOP 7Zip opening Zip files I am trying to DL at the DL site?
Perhaps this is new rules at the Asus Sites, but it is most screwy.
I'd like to just DL the dot-zip file w/o 7Zip's jumping in.

Same behavior w/7Zip v9.13beta at the Asus sites?

Confused I am?
Thanks,
Duncan
