A little while ago, I was bemoaning the fact that Win7 errors often when transferring pictures from my Kodak Z950. If I did the transfer via Windows Explorer, there never was an error. Anyways, just wanted to let everyone know that I had a chance to use Adobe Bridge to download pictures and it does an excellent job. No errors, it will sort the pictures by date and put them in their own folders, and you can tell it whether to erase the pictures from the camera's memory.

You can tell it how to name the files, folders, save copies to a 2nd location and convert to DNG (which I have no clue as to what it is).

It's coupled to a shortform Adobe picture editor called 'Camera Raw', where to can quickly do a large number of manipulations (including some geometric corrections) without opening the full Photoshop.

I now wish to have it at home....how much is CS5 again? LOL
