Seeing as that a new generation of processors (Sandy Bridge) on a new socket (LGA1155) and new chipsets (H67, P67, among others) drops on Wednesday, I'd say at least wait until then. One nice thing about this next generation of chips is that the integrated graphics, for arguably the first time since Intel has produced GPUs, may be decent enough to compare with low end discrete parts.
If the pricing, availability, and/or timing doesn't work out for new SB stuff, my vote is for the dual core i5. In addition to the higher clock, it's also 32nm instead of 45nm found on Intel's current LGA1156 quad cores. > -----Original Message----- > From: [email protected] [mailto:hardware- > [email protected]] On Behalf Of Bobby Heid > Sent: Sunday, January 02, 2011 5:15 PM > To: [email protected] > Subject: [H] Motherboards. > > Hi all.
