WL,
For $6 I'd go this way for now. Gawd knows whether you can even get a new m/b; even if you wish to go that far (deep). No help beyond this. I do not put may hands on anything smaller than a desktop PC.
Best,
Duncan

I have an old IBM Thinkpad T23 = P3 1.1Ghz that i use only for security camera monitoring and my Magic Jack. One day I started hearing fan noies so I put it on a laptop tray with fan and hoped that would work, But one day it posted with no fan noise and one word = FAN. So I ordered a fan for 2 bucks, and replaced the fan. Now when I turn it on I get power, I hear the fan, see the indicator lights but nothing else. No post, nothing on the LED.

Service manual says, check all the connections, I have retraced my steps maybe three times to see if I left something un connected, check the RAM Dimms, I have reseated them, or System board. I am thinking not the system board, but maybe I fried the CPU. I can get another one for six bucks ... but what do you guys think?

thanks
