It should store it in form storage and not temp files.  It could be possible
for CC info to be stored in a cookie, but I have never seen a case like
that.  Cookies are most often used simply as an identifier.

I think your client has faulty security logic.  The biggest risk is not CC
info being stored on your computer, but rather it being stored on a website
that then gets hacked or handles your CC info in an insecure way.  Besides,
most attacks I've seen that grab CC info on the client side are
sophisticated enough to detect AV suites and turn them off.  I guess his
approach is to never use a credit card at all in the Internet?  Kinda
overkill if you ask me.

I store my CC info (as well as all my login info for every website) with
Last Pass.  It is an extremely secure system and allows me to keep the info
safe while also keeping track of all my login details and autofilling them
in site logins.  That way, I can have different passwords for every site and
not have ot remember them.
