Greg,
Thank you. I've been leaning toward this.
Now I will move forward with my monthly backup schedule.

Can I sorta believe that System Restore is really a 'protection' for normal human desktop activities?

Best,
Duncan

Subject: [H] XP question?

Over time I have grown to like XPpro very much. Yes, I allow that I really
'should' be using Win7pro. Fine; but, that is another discussion.

I use/allow System Restore. It has already saved my butt twice.

I am polishing a new install of Windows 2003 Server (std. ed.).
Research told me this code is based on WinXP. Yet, I do not see/find
System
Restore anywhere. Aside from much stuff in new locations and new colors
and menus, this new OS seems to be very much like W2K Server.

Please do not push Win2008 Server at me. My bank account is trending
toward 'life-support!'
Besides, my initial research indicates 08Server will not accept my current
hdw.
Thanks,
Duncan
