This should actually be the last beta before the game opens.  The
"Headstart" period I believe starts on the 27th, with a 1 week
headstart to those who pre-purchase.

It is a different type of game if you haven't played an MMO before,
but anyone who has played an MMO should be able to jump right in.


I bought the Digital Collectors edition for a couple of reasons,
mainly being the extra 8 slots of bag space to start and secondarily
for the free mount, which when I hit 20 in the last beta took every
penny I had saved up from 1-20 to afford.  The 2 weapons you get in
Team Fortress 2 for pre-purchase are pretty nice, but I hate the
scout, so the Pyro axe is the only useful part.

Not sure if this matters, but people who start playing within the
first month get a deal on multiple month subscriptions for as long as
they keep their sub going.  Normally $15/mo, you can sign up for
$60/6mo.


(The one downside of an MMO is the monthly sub, but if you're into
this type of game it is worth it.)
