Hello Winterlight, Just because its on the dock doesn't mean its running. If it is running a little arrow may be underneath it or it may be glowing. However, the best way to know is either 1> Just ask or 2> Port scan the system. You can also just block the common torrent ports - of course, that can be worked around also. Seriously though, just ask.
