I can't really justify upgrading my Seasonics ATM. But I'm always
interested in greater power efficiency. Kingwin is not a brand that I
would have previously associated with high end quality. Surprised me!

Stan,
Interesting review. I do not OC. It is nice to see PSU suppliers putting
quality back into their product. At the 550W level, Kingwin should sell
a ton of these boxes. ATM I have spares. And, I will wait awhile to see
some other reviews. I know OCZ and their focus. It is nice to see PSUs
now tested to 120% rated load. Yes, the devil is in the details; but I
will accept the OCZ methodology ATM. It is about what I used back in
the 90s to test my original PCP&C units.
But, with the rash of "high-power" cpus I have seen in the past 2 years,
quality PSUs have been in short choice IMHO. Perhaps this Kingwin entry
will start to bring the current premiun PSU prices down a bit. That is
good for all of us regardless of brand favorite.
At present, I will stay with my current SeaSonic Silvers and my old
PCP&C psus. .....:)

Here is a hardware review of a 550 watt PSU that HardOCP says is hands
down the best PSU they have ever had the pleasure of reviewing. High
words from those guys who have no problem calling a bad PSU a piece of
crap not worthy of anybody's money. I almost impulse bought one as they
have a 10% off coupon at the Egg right now. 90% efficient at 20%
output, might make this a good PSU for a Brazos based box.
