I am a <happy camper with this notice.
HGST has been very good with my server HD spares over past years.
Reads like the old supply of IBM HDs is now exhausted(?).
I have never had good service life from WD HDs; except lately with my
server.
Yes, I am a Seagate (mostly) House here. Like the Barracudas and Cheetahs!
Just sad! Conglomeration is a scary thing I believe.
On the bright side, all my server's HDs are ATLAS II's; which IIRC are
WD now.
Really funny how stuff happens anymore............. :)

Sad day. WD and HGST are my two favorite manufacturers right now, so I'm
really going from 2 options to 1. I'd be more upbeat on Samsung, but dealing
with their support is an absolute nightmare-and their website, especially
for support, is just as bad.
