It sounds like you're not getting the actual source IP addresses from
the web site's access log. Most log viewing software gives you some
level of visibility into the source IP addresses, but it's probably not
at the level you want. Can you ask for the access logs from your site
and process them yourself? It sounds like what your hosting provider is
giving you is the referrers, but you want the actual source IP address.
Referrer shows where users clicked from to get to the site(like a Google
search URL).
