So you need two of these to get to 50 TB? I like the idea of a separate box, but I think I want less costly right now.

I say go for an external enclosure.

Your computer will have way too much cables and stuff running through
it.

Something like this:

You could put in eight 3 TB WD Drives and get 25 tb of space. Or around
22 TB in Raid 5.

I have the 4 bay model and am very happy with it. I store all my rips
on there for conversion to MKV.

How big do you want the RAID to get (# of drives that is)? I presume
enough performance to stream one bluray... or will you be doing
multiple?
  Windows/Linux? Redundancy?

What is the best way to add lots of drives to a computer, with the

I don't think my mobo has sata connectors for more than 4-6. I assume
I need a PCI-E card of some sort. What's best? I don't intend to build
it out at once...just over time.
