Interesting data point:

So I tried the cable on my roommate's laptop (Asus gaming rig) and it pretty
much worked fine at 1920x1080-the only thing was the occasional flickering
thin green lines across the screen that was almost bearable...and when we
stepped his laptop town to 1280x720 everything was fine and clear too.

Note that when both my laptop and his go through the HDMI switch we have
that works fine w/ 6' cables, it gets really messed up-so the switch must
have loss (it was a $25 switch on Amazon) to take into account...

Just found it interesting that his laptop worked better than mine though he
has a better vid card-a GeForce GTX 460M vs my ATI Mobility Radeon HD
5650... But the main surprise was that there was a difference depending on
the source and that the cable wasn't all the difference, not something I've
heard much about...

Well, to both responses, head over to blue jean cables and read their reason
as to why.
