Christopher,
UDAMAN!
I did run around in circles between tools/synchronize and
tools/folder options for a bit. But, I did find the offending '//gam/share'
link. Unchecked several boxes and now this client looks clean again.

Just for grins, regedit found this value in the hkcu/software/MS/Win/
CurrentVersion/NetCache key also. Wiped this key also.

Client now shuts down cleanly again. Thank you so much! I've been
chasing this anomaly since 11/18/11. Still clueless as to how I PEBCAK'd
this.
Best,
Duncan

I have a WinXP client that seems to NEED to Synchronize when I

Get 'Synchronize' but have never used it personally.
I did get this machine from someone else, however............... :)

Yes, the client this machine wishes to 'speak' to no longer exists.

Do I admin this client (br1c1)? (for Synchronize?)
Do I admin the client (br2c1) this client wishes to 'Synchronize' with?

Moderately confused?

Tired of the shut-down msg:
Offline Files (\\Gam\Share on Gam): Unable to connect to '\\Gam\Share.'
The network path was not found.

True. The client 'GAM' was renamed 30 days ago.
Thanks,
Duncan
