Heh you're going to love this-it's my friend's/co-worker's TV...he had it mounted above the fireplace and his wife had candles on the mantle...and apparently she left them lit one night and the next day he got up, and didn't notice it for a while but thought there was something on the screen and moved to brush it off, and then got closer and saw what had happened... He calls them $2000 candles now lol. So I've got the TV now and it survived a trip in the back of an F150 from Orange County to LA (50 miles) on the 405, so I figure it's pretty sturdy and not going to crack anymore if it didn't on the drive up (which got rather bumpy and made me wince a lot-coulda swore I heard the screen cracking more but don't see anything new...). BINO
P.S. Now I'm looking at 65" flat-panels tho and apparently TVs are not that expensive anymore, like the Panasonic Viera TC-P65VT30 for $2700 at Fry's (GREAT price) or the LG Infinia 65WL6500 (which does passive 3D btw) for just $2200 at Amazon http://www.amazon.com/LG-Infinia-65LW6500-65-Inch-LED-LCD/dp/B004OVEVOC/ Though Mitsubishi has 82-90" DLPs for $3-4k... :P > Date: Thu, 22 Dec 2011 10:19:10 -0800 > To: [email protected] > From: [email protected] > Subject: Re: [H] Front screen plasma glass cracked! > > At 04:07 AM 12/22/2011, you wrote: > > >So does anyone here have any experience with the glass on a plasma > >cracking (across the width of it, one line from left to right) and > >then fixing it? > > did you drop it or something ... or did it just start happening > > > > >Not really visible but thought I'd check on fixing it...
