Gaffer,
Thanks for this. There is some 'stuff' missing here.
I connect to 50Mbps/sync fiber connection. Yet, now I
have info that tells me my router can only do 254Mbps
thru-put. Hmmm? Yet it does support GBit in and out?
Yes, I fully understand the 'overhead' argument. Fine.
I can easily 'consider the source' (2-Wire) on this one.
To my old memory, '2-wire' drills down to old analog
telephone business (aka xdsl). Pardon if I am still wrong.
{You may be hampered by whales humping on the big
under-sea fiber back-bone cables}.............. :)
I did not check the hop count to 2-Wire. Slap me!
I had low values from them back in my xdsl days also (2008).
To me, the 'Internet' is somewhere on the other side of my isp.
I have to trust that my isp is not 'stepping on the hose.' Even if
this is true, I have no idea how many other upstream 'throttles'
exist until my bits finally get to the 'Internet.'

Francisco,
I went and used your share. I ran the test 5 times.
I get a values of 2.9-3.8.
OK. How do I use this value?
As the scale tops at 18, I could conclude that I might need to
check/fix something.
I get a consistent 1.5 Mbs but I've a 22Mbs connection ??
My traffic meter agrees with 1.5Mbs but only from this source !
