Personally, I'd like to see graphene live up to it's expectations. Many years ago, gallium arsenide was touted as the next silicon. It never lived up to expectations and now is just a niche technology.

The motion capture technology seems to me to be the next big CE thing. It's pushing further into virtual reality.

There's only a couple of these I agree with, then again, I've seen quite a few 'technologies that will shake the world' come and go.
