Although I have both a Magic Jack, my first VOIP, and a NetTalk, much better, VOIP device I have yet to cancel my Verizon land line. I have business interest and I have not wanted to disturb my number, and there are features of my land line that I must have in order to operate. One is faxing, another is the ability to easily and seamlessly record my phone calls at will, and I also need the ability to white and black list phone numbers.

Netgear will now allow me to port my number to my NetTalk account, and doing so would save me around 600 a year from my Verizon bill, so I am looking for solutions to my other needs.

For faxing I am thinking of an extremeFax account http://www.extremefax.com/ , I don't need this level of Faxing but when I need it I got have it....anybody have any experience with them, or can make other recommendations.

On my Verizon land line I don't answer the phone. In fact, it doesn't ring so instead of the Voice/Fax software I currently use with a talk modem plugged into my Verizon land line, I will be getting my messages by email. That's Ok but I don't seem to have any options as to call blocking for those telemarketers who hammer the line. I am thinking about forwarding this number to a Google voice account... can I have a white and black list for a Google voice account.. does anyone know.

Google voice will let you record phone calls that it forwards to you... unfortunately it always comes up with the warning and that can unnerve people.. is there a way to kill the warning?. Can Google voice record phone calls that you place? Is there a way to use Google voice to place calls using a conventual phone? Anybody know of a really good reference souce for Google voice? Is there a easy to use desktop app for recording NetTalk phone calls that some body has experience with?

It would be great if I could find a single desktop app to handle all this for me, like I have now. Any advice, or recommendations appreciated.
