Many months ago I asked how to get rid of the 'Logon Message' nag screen
on my XP clients each time I warm reboot them.
OK. I have one client that does not wish to play nice. Just Who/What is
the
owner/controller of this Logon Nag window?
I've done gpedit.msc. I quickly go blind and get scared!
I've done AdminTools/Local Security and thought I found the key! If I
enable
'Do not allow CTRL+Alt+Delete window' the Nag screen goes away (4 clients).
I might suspect that this one client may have another 'user' on it, but
I can
not see anyone in the normal 'user' displays.
Is there someplace else I need to investigate? Yes, it is possible that
some
baddie got past ESET, but I am still thinking some minor PEBCAK on my
part. BTW, this client really only runs under power once a month for Win
Updates and/or user chosen app upgrades............... :)
Best,
