Not really an editor, but we use Freeware PrimoPDF, or Freeware CutePDF..

Both are really just 'writers', i.e., you "print" to them form Word or Excel or 
whatever, and they turn the output into a PDF file..

You can't open them for editing after they are created, you need to make 
changes in the original document and "print" it again.

You can edit them with Acrobat or paid versions of these apps of course.  :)
