OK. Where/What is this DL center. I only get my updates from the MS
Update logic.
I believe that update KB2686509 has been put into the 2 clients that it
fails on. I wish I knew where
this update is hidden; I would delete it locally and just try again.
But I'm sure that this delivery is
logged and now just hung up in the internal WinUpdate logic. I know not
how to doctor this ATM.
When I went to the MS KB search, this file only lists some external
forum with many users with the
same problem. The update, IIRC, was only 447KB. I'm gonna do some more
research.
This update failed on one of my C2D machines and my last remaining AMD
Barton 2500+ machine.
The local WinUpdate taskbar shield remains yellow. All local attempts to
re-install fail.
Weird!

Well, other than US WinXP users................. :)
I have chronic install failures on this update. I accept that I have
dicked with XPpro. Fine, my bad!
