Hi guy, I'll send you a very small .zip file that has the registry file so you can take ownership of any folder in Win 7. It , also, has a registry file to remove itself if you so desire. All you have to do is right click on any folder that will not give you access and select "Take Ownership" , a DOD window opens and opens the folder for you. Let me know if you want it.
Jeff I am trying to copy the <My Documents> folder from a XP PRO hard drive, dead computer, to a Windows 7 PRO computer. The XP hard drive is running in an external enclosure. I am logged into the Windows 7 PRO computer as THE Administrator but it won't let me copy the XP Pro folder or even change attributes. How can I copy this ? Thanks.
