[H] Wildcards

Trying to get a bat file to work in my new w7 build that I use to 
backup my quickbooks data file to the server. It runs but says file 
not found, I think the syntax is close.

xcopy "C:\users\public\public documents\intuit\*.*" 
"L:\users\public\public documents\intuit\" /y /d

tried both *.*  and *.qbw. Worked in xp. Tried robocopy with no luck. 
The files are there.
