I think it's a great interface and am actually quite sincerely looking
forward to using it...on small mobile devices with touch interfaces. On the
desktop, Metro is an indefensible piece of garbage and I fully expect
Microsoft to ultimately pay dearly in terms of customer adoption as a
result. I can't wait for it to flop. Businesses will not adopt it--it's
widely expected to be the next Vista in the corporate world, only this time,
they may not have the opportunity to win them back with the next iteration. 

Yes, I've actually used it, and it's a horrible experience.

I actually like metro.

It's a radical departure and as with most big changes people will always
resist.  I think a year from now you will look at the desktop as being
archaic.
