I've been wondering....word is Win8 full is going to be cheaper than Win7.
If one could disable that stupid metro interface and get back to a
normal looking start screen / desktop, this may be a way to save some
money. I cant' believe that MS threw out the good stuff in Win7...I
think it is all there in Win8, just hidden under some sad attempt to "go
tablet" or "go mobile" whatever they think the thread is today.

Alden,
Good price. But that is OEM SW. Fine. I thought about OEM and I passed.

I usually watch for the home premium 3-pack sales for about $120

The home version can be patched "unofficially" to add many of the
missing
features. Do all the updates first then you can patch in concurrent
RDP sessions
and whatever else you need.I only have Win7 Pro version and once
the home
version is tweaked I can't say there's any noticeable difference :)

I guess the home premium family 3-pack at $150 won't work for you?

Should I wait until after Win8's release to buy my 2 more Win7pro
DVD sets?
The current EGG price seems pricey a $274.99.
