Yeah, GPS with external antenna was generally better that with internal. Not much, but noticeably. Hmm, tough to say. When I wasn't pointing the antenna directly at the sky it was somewhat of a gamble when it would synchronise, get a fix, ... Other than that it was pretty consistent.
