One very important detail you are forgetting, or better 2, are the PRU microcontroller cores that run at 200MHz, independently of the arm core (and GPU), which makes things like bit-banging in realtime, ethernetcat, etc very easy, without using any main core cpu cycles. I received mine last week and I'm enjoying exploring it, it looks much more mature than the Raspberry Pi, although the current distribution that it came with (Angstrom) still has some growing pains. cheers, Nuno - -- http://aeminium.org/nuno/ -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.12 (GNU/Linux) iQIcBAEBAgAGBQJRiFUrAAoJEPIY6fuKMkz5nhMP/2oHrJaw1WjJSsBpTR5HGnJs MeILIZqktDLuM2le7gxi5NHkzgsi/y2PFgp3Z8LQ9plgEMd1FKknWY6Fh//9W7oZ aL4kD2Ju3/KNz+wwJhk7Jtq23QGK6EE3onmEe1Rpwlin+/RKVkmgBV2c1D6GMnGv DWExcrIdPKOafOeCrvyLEfxKLQg8TRVvCxxhtzrd/mEzPyhsYVg3qOkzgSQPmsRY merwShbtbZTDO8qUONawtdBd494t4VB0cNKitVJFedo9Gcx9HMsCKWTfgMbnAfnp 9BiMBEsut5k+HA3oHcZd+51UGhrkZJmWmMBtq9b+vSUPIvGFWYMETTjMAy2044Rx UHH99mV5pMJ8e/7zFnt8rMQukH/yrhqSp0ff6MeKXENMXssyuO10ueJbot/hpbtm 0tVVcCcF4Z9wMeJd30yv9ItKUFqXvjY66v+KJRrpHjuFU5PI/lVcOzExJbWwfoAp 45Nw+x73ViXoQhc6d24Q7R7/9SasFAeStOwdXJ6H/PoxMzZ7TI7Wgn0E+ZeM2/Us aTaugFGqfNg5mqZhCGMlFsmLs0wj+kBqpW7IPj5eR9DkiQq/26mEixvxZeeAivC0 OgUxi4I6P9i3YexDWDtpNvsQvAbd6PCNYm4HTE8M+U1nT93oHFa9Z7Kz0n95Y9D6 TfP5jYa2scwkedrjhdw6 =xPQw -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ Hardwarehacking mailing list Hardwarehacking@blu.org http://lists.blu.org/mailman/listinfo/hardwarehacking
