This version retries the memVirtToPhys repeatedly in the hopes that
eventually it will find the trampoline mapped into the page tables.

Fortunately, this isn't necessarily fatal. The linux booting code
just needs to ensure it has the physical page - having the page mapped
isn't strickly necessary.
However, what wince is doing could very well make the whole process
fragile. If wince needs to map in a page while haret is in the
process of shutting down the hardware for a linux boot, it could
destabalize the pda. Also, should wince play any really funky games,
like discarding code pages it knows it has on flash, then there is a
very good chance the boot will lockup.
Finally, as above, it is really dumb for wince to be doing this.
Morten, I recommend you upgrade the OS if you can (for example, with
Linux).
There is no PocketPC 2003 or Windows Mobile version for this device, as
far as I know. My run (experimental) Linux on it, using Ian Molton's
bootloader, but went back to WinCE and HaRet for these tests.
Don't know if you want to look (his copyright, no mention of GPL licence
and partly based on reverse engineering I think) but Ian has some
interesting comments on the eseries boot process in the C code he
publishes on his web pages at http://www.mnementh.co.uk/eseries/.
