You can create a file "startup.txt" with the line "listen 9999" in it.

I think synce has made some progress with wm5, but I have tried it.  I
use wifi myself.

The code was unable to place itself in "system" mode.  Other users
have been able to resolve this problem by either "unlocking" the phone
or setting something in the registry to allow unsigned binaries.  (I
don't have a clear report on how it was resolved.)

Unless haret can get system mode, it wont be able to do much
(including properly detecting your cpu type).
