Well, I wanted to try with an SD card - I have a 2 GB and a 1GB SD - but none is recognized by knoppix...(I have a Syntax UCR-61 USB card reader).
So I tried with Haret-0.3.8, because this guy Jack ( http://handhelds.org/hypermail/h2200-port/current/5412.html) was using it and the same setup as I, with success. I went as far as the bloodshot eyes, which is some progress, then nothing, blank screen (until my battery died a couple hours later). I actually forgot to enable logging but I will retry later with it. If I still can't get it to work, I 'll probably give Ramdisk Rescue a try, and if that doesn't work, I'll go to the store and buy a 500MB or 1GB CF, I guess... BTW my CF is a 1GB Lexar. On another topic, does anyone have a recommendation for a GPS device?
