I tried running a newer version of Haret - both haret-0-5.2.exe and
haret-20090711.exe with the same default.txt from haret-0.3.7 and in
both cases I get:
<before I hit run>
Found machine Generic Samsung
s3c24xx
<after I hit run>
Message saying "Haret booting linux"
Then I get a mess of a screen (screen looks like static). I then have
to remove the battery.
My question is, is there different files needed? Does the default.txt
have to be changed? My current one looks like this:
set MTYPE 0x3b8
set KERNEL "zImage"
set RAMADDR 0x30000000
set RAMSIZE 0x2000000
set CMDLINE "root=/dev/mmcblk0p1 rootdelay=1 panic=30"
bootlinux
Thanks again,

Hi Everyone,
I'm trying to run Linux on my iPAQ rx1950 but get stuck in the
installation process.
Following the instructions from:
http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HpIpaqRx1950Documentation
Everything seems to be setup properly, but when running Haret, I see Tux
and the thermometer, then text indicating that Linux is installing.
Wow, the thermometer is a really old version of haret. See:
http://www.handhelds.org/moin/moin.cgi/HaRET
Eventually I see the following:
**********
YFS: Cannot open root device "mmcblk0p1" or unknown-block(0,0)
Please append a correct "root=" boot option; here are the available
partitions:
<some text>
Kernel Panic - not synching: YFS :Unable to mount root fs on
unknown-block(0,0)
Haret succesfully launched the kernel - you're seeing a linux kernel
issue.
