Hi All, We have been following the development of New Harfbuzz and are very interested in its Indic Font Shaping work. Presently, we are involved in porting the old Harfbuzz over to Symbian and decommission the existing ICU shaper. I do understand that this may be a mistake as the new code is under active development by the great team here! But I have been made to understand that this new version is still not ready for prime time and has a lot of issues - specially with Indic Fonts.
It would be great if someone could provide us with a basic estimate on when and in what quality will the new Harfbuzz be ready? Any way on how we could see these differences, and possibly influence the decision of using New Harfbuzz in Symbain will be greatly appreciated! Regards Saurabh
