I may be wrong, but my understanding is that this error came in with revision:
9a13ed453ef96822a47d6e6f58332b87f38d5c59 which was released with 1.2.1.
So it may be a bit wider than that. I don't think android has this in, at least
not in 6.0.1, which uses older code I think. But I can't speak for the webview
application/component.

Hmm, you're right, this was clearly broken in 1.2.2, which is currently
in Firefox 47 (Aurora/Developer Edition). I'll see if I can get a quick
fix in there before it moves on to the Beta and Release channels.
