1 Sure you can split it into four. Yes; there are so many symbols that is why we have sent the manuel early. You can study them firs and receive the energy when you feel like it :)) 2 The symbol is best for physical alignments. You dear grandmother is so lucky to have you. what a nice gesture :)) 3 It is up to you. You can memorize them or look them up when you need them. Well there is not one perfect way for this I am sending your certificate now. I took the ancient violet flame reiki of Kuan Yin after I heard the words in my sleep more then two years ago. And just love it to use it since then. And I think if you just see the person healed in front of you that it will be oke too. About writing them down on cards I never did it but bringing the energy in it in mind yes.
