If there was a strong desire to just get something that runs, it could
also serve that purpose, i.e. using the interpreter only and
leaving out
all the Java-to-C stuff... though I'm sure it would morph quickly into
something completely different :-)

I have received the documentation, and will set things up so we can
turn the crank for this acceptance.
Given that there still is a JCVM project, can you (Archie) suggest a
name? We will have more than one VM contribution to start, so I'd
like to keep them clear.
