it has a schematic representation of the repository that is not precise.
I'm *not* suggesting that we change the contribution policy / ACQ.

Yes - that diagram was just handwaving to get the idea across. It could
actually go away for all I care. We can fix it too, but the conceptual
dimensions of the idea are more important than representing the
"physical" layout of the code.
