Just so people can't claim they missed it ;-)
If you check out the Harmony classlib code *at or before* repository
revision 391919 you will need to use the IBM VME version 1 to run the code.
If you check out the classlib code now (revision 391957 onwards) you
will need to use the IBM VME version 2 to run the code.
You cannot mix and match between these versions.
Both versions of the IBM VME are available from:
http://www.ibm.com/developerworks/java/jdk/harmony
