Display errors when loading results in Javascript

Bug description:
Currently, the Javascript UI will detect when an error happens when it
tries loading results with XHR. However, it doesn't communicate this
to the user; it just seems to stop loading.
We should add a message to the #results-message element which appears
over the existing results. Something simple should do, like “Error
(500) getting new results from server”
