CALL FOR APPLICATIONS FOR OPEN POSITION One position will be open on the Sydney Taylor Book Award Committee beginning January 1, 2004. Applicants should be familiar with Judaic children's literature, experienced in writing critical reviews, members of AJL National, willing to review 100 plus books over the course of a year, able to meet committee deadlines, and have e-mail. Members are expected to attend annual conventions and to participate in co mittee-sponsored events. Institutions for which members of the Sydney Taylor Book Award Committee work are assessed an administrative fee of $100 per year. Membership on the committee is both fun and intellectually challenging, but it also requires a substantial commitment in terms of time and energy.
