One online review I raed talked about how a character (Tariq) becomes involved in a hate group. To that reviewer, he wasn't joining a "revolutionary group", a "resistance group" or a "freedom-fighters group". He joined a hate group, as reprehensible as any American fascist group. I don't know if that's how it comes across in the book itself or if that's the reviewer's term.
