Dear Ms. Pankowsky,
I am terribly sorry that you didn't check these out with Hasafran
sooner. I believe one of the books was discussed on the web several years
ago, because I remember responding to the query. I somehow managed to live
in Utah for 16 years, and knew Scott (as his friends knew him) because he
lectured at a planetarium where I worked for several years. And yes, Scott
is a very devout Mormon, with all of the theology that goes with it. I
have been told that this theology does not seep into his Science Fiction,
but I wouldn't know since I have never read any of it. Yet, I am quite
certain that this theology does appear in what he would describe as a
Mormon Bible interpretation. It is sad really, because Mormons will read
this material and consider it a viable interpretation, when it is really
based purely on modern revelation. I am glad that you caught it before it
fell in to the hands of some uninformed Jews.
