The Chabad Hebrew Academy in San Diego was totally destroyed, including every student record, every desk and pencil and its entire preschool through grade 8 library. The school was in the Scripps Ranch neighborhood of the City of San Diego, in which many homes were destroyed, including the houses of two families attending the school; additional school families suffered home damage. I spoke with representatives of the school this morning. They are in the process of assessing their losses and will be needing much help in rebuilding the school and its library. Miraculously their new building, under construction, still stands. At this point they need funds. They do not yet have a storage facility to receive donated books.
