The Jewish Community Library of Los Angeles in partnership with Facing History and Ourselves presents: Memoirs and Diaries of Youth During the Holocaust - Thursday, January 15, 2004 Times: 4:00-8:00 PM Dinner will be served kosher dietary laws observed Description: The stories of young people who come of age during extreme times raise important questions about history and identity-questions that resonate with students today. In this workshop, we will examine resources such as Elie Wiesel's Night; Mona Golabek's The Children of Willesden Lane, the story of her mother's experiences during World War II in England; The Diary of Anne Frank; and Alexandra Zapruder's Salvaged Pages: Young Writers' Diaries of the Holocaust.
