The Council of the Jacob M. Lowy Collection and Library and Archives Canada present an illustrated lecture entitled "Early Dilemmas of Jewish Orthodoxy in Canada: Rabbi Judah (Yudl) Rosenberg" by Dr. Ira Robinson, professor of Judaic Studies at Concordia University.
Professor Robinson will be speaking on the unprecedented challenges encountered by Orthodox immigrant rabbis in Canada from the 1890s through the 1920s.
A selection of Yudl Rosenberg's works will be on display, and a book signing will follow the lecture. Reception courtesy of the Council of the Jacob M. Lowy Collection and Library and Archives Canada in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the National Library of Canada.

La conf�rence portera sur les d�fis sans pr�c�dents rencontr�s par les rabbins orthodoxes qui ont immigr� au Canada entre les ann�es 1890 et les ann�es 1920.
