I hope someone in New York can help me with this. I am a law librarian, and have been asked to find out if there is a law in NY State or City giving privilege or confidentiality to the proceeding of a Beit Din (or Beth Din)?
I have not been able to find anything, but it seems to me it should be a matter of privilege, similar to that between a person and a rabbi or minister. Please let me know if you have any knowledge about this or can suggest where I can look. Thanks in advance, Muriel Muriel C.
