If you are a new member of AJL or if you have never attended a convention
and need help defraying expenses, we can help you. Please submit your
applcation to the Doris Orenstein Memorial fund no later than March 15, 2004
to Sally Brown, 351 South Merkle Road, Columbus, Ohio 43209. Application:
write a letter of 500 words or fewer telling us why you would like to attend
the 2004 convention. State how long you have worked in a Judaica library,
what part of the cost your institiution  will pay, your
educational background, whether or not there is an AJL chapter in your area
and whether or not you participate.

For long standing members active in AJL, newer members who would like to
participate  more fully, or convention participants, current paid-up members
should apply for a travel subsidy. This also goes to Sally Brown. Her email

Application: Length of AJL membership and number of conventions previously
attended. The amount and source of support you will receive from local
funds. Describe your participation in AJL. There is an expectation that
recipients of these funds will attend the entire convention.
