Hello,
My husband named his daughter Hypatia.
He says that she was killed by the Christians in 425, and she was not
Christian. We do have Charles Kingsley's book Hypatia, but my husband
says that it is actually an apology for the murder of Hypatia, trying to
explain the point of view of the Christians. It is historical fiction. I
can try to skim it if you wish.
