Dear Colleagues, I have accepted the job of synagogue librarian even though I'm not a librarian and am a volunteer. There are many changes we want to accomplish in our library. We want to computerize our catalog. In addition to housing catalog information we want our system to automatically tell us when books are over due. Since some of our members are not willing to switch to an electronic catalog, we need a hard copy catalog file. We would like our computer program to make it possible for us to print the cards. Please recommend a program for us to use. We have an Apple computer but could possibly get a PC. At this time we have approximately one thousand books, and we intend to grow.
