JOIN THE STAFF OF NEW VOICES MAGAZINE. NEW VOICES, the country�s only national magazine written by and for Jewish college students, is seeking a new Director/Associate Editor. This is a chance to publish an established nationally distributed magazine, read by more than 10,000 Jewish students on over 400 campuses. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in journalism, writing, publishing, non-profit management, or the Jewish community. Past New Voices staff members have been accepted to the country�s best journalism schools and have gone on to write for the New York Times, Newsweek, the Jerusalem Report, the Forward, and Money, among many other publications. THIS IS A FULL-TIME POSITION AND IT REQUIRES LIVING IN NEW YORK CITY (our offices are in Chelsea). New Voices� Director/Associate Editor will be responsible for running the organization<this includes fundraising, organizational development, and planning New Voices� programming in collaboration with the editor. In addition, the Associate Editor will be involved with all aspects of editing and publishing the magazine, including planning issues, soliciting articles, editing, and proofreading, with the expectation of becoming the editor the following year. We are looking for a graduating senior or recent graduate with excellent writing and editing skills, the ability to work independently, and the desire to learn. Some journalism experience is helpful.
